About the Virtual Event

Google and Apple have joined forces to create a contact tracing platform to help contain the coronavirus. They intend to use a decentralized and anonymous tracking method, based on Bluetooth signals, to detect your proximity to other people. The system could later alert you if one of those people tests positive for COVID-19. But what if Silicon Valley isn’t really equipped to protect our privacy and civil liberties?
